DOLLY DAGUERRE MEDIA

Dolly Daguerre Media is the funnel through which all projects of Stacy Alexander Evans FLOW. Writing, Photography, Design. The name Dolly Daguerre is a hybrid. On the one hand, it is a reference to Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre, the early nineteenth century artist/chemist who created the first successful photographic process--thenceforth known as the Daguerreotype. It is also a nod to the late, great Jimi Hendrix and a song he wrote for one of his muses, a woman he nicknamed Dolly Dagger. Consider the power of the written word and a sharp writer’s tongue could easily “scratch the soul out of the devil’s wife.” Finally, Dolly Daguerre--literally a “doll” of war...conjures images of girls in frilly dresses wearing combat boots. To wit, the most familiar reconciliation of opposites we have: masculine to feminine.

Who is Dolly?

“Been riding broomsticks since she was 15...”
